Dr. Cohen lectures on hair transplantation and hair loss at the
Yale University school of Medicine where he is an Associate Clinical
Professor of Dermatology.
Dr. Cohen was among the first surgeons to utilize the microscope
in preparing follicular unit grafts, which has enabled his patients
to achieve the natural results they seek. Dr. Cohen is dedicated
to maintaining state of the art surgical techniques and sharing
new information and ideas with other leaders in the field of hair
transplantation. Most recently, Dr. Cohen was an invited speaker
and faculty member at the World Hair Association Live Surgery Meeting,
as well as a regular speaker at the International Society of Hair
Restoration Surgery annual meetings.
The New York Times has profiled Dr. Cohen and his work in major
articles. Connecticut Magazine has reported on Dr. Cohen's transplant
surgery. His work has also been published in the Journal of Dermatologic
Surgery, The Journal of Geriatric Dermatology, The Archives of Dermatology
and the Hair Transplant Forum International. Recently, he has been
featured in Men's Health Magazine, Prevention Magazine, Connecticut
Magazine, The Connecticut Post, and was recognized as one of the
top 15 Hair Transplant Surgeons in North America by Town and Country
Magazine.
Dr. Cohen was an undergraduate at Tufts University. He received
his M.D. cum laude from the Downstate Medical Center and was elected
to the AOA Honor Medical Society. After his internship at Montefiore
Hospital in New York City, he was commissioned as a captain in the
U.S. Army Medical Corps. Dr.Cohen completed his residency training
in dermatology at the Yale University School of Medicine where he
was appointed chief resident. Dr. Cohen is in private practice in
Fairfield, Connecticut specializing in hair loss and its treatment.
