Frequently Asked Questions

Are You Concerned About Your Hair Loss?

30% of men in their 30s, 40% of men in their 40s and 50% of men in their 50s experience significant hair loss. Every year, people spend hundreds of millions of dollars on products promising to cure baldness, but there is no magic potion.

Hair transplantation is the only permanent solution. Unlike hair- weaving or hairpieces, with hair transplantation you will regain a healthy, natural head of hair, your own hair, growing from your scalp forever, and it will look completely natural.

At the Center for Hair Transplantation, Dr. Ivan Cohen along with a dedicated, highly trained nursing staff, provide an unparalleled level of quality care.

Am I a Candidate?

Over the past 25 years, Dr. Cohen has successfully performed hair transplant surgery on men and women ranging in age from 19-79.

The best way to determine if hair transplantation is right for you is with a personal consultation. In our office there are no salespeople and there is never any sales pressure. Dr. Cohen will meet with you personally to determine whether you are a candidate for hair transplantation. In addition to the extent of hair loss, factors such as hair color, texture, curl and density will all be evaluated.

During your consultation, you will see photographs of many of our patients taken at various stages of their treatment. You will also be given individualized recommendations for those procedures that are most appropriate for you.

When Is The Right Time To Do Something About My Hair Loss?

“Frequently patients ask me when is the right time to begin hair transplantation. The answer is, whenever you become uncomfortable about your hair loss. You can start when you are just beginning to lose your hair, so that you’ll never be bald, or you can wait until you’re bald and fill it all back in.” — Ivan S. Cohen, M.D.

What Is The Cost Of Hair Transplantation?

Today, with the latest state of the art techniques, you can achieve incredibly natural-looking results at affordable prices.

Costs involved in the recommended procedures will be detailed for you during your consultation. The price will vary depending on the extent of your hair loss. Patients with limited areas of thinning, such as receding hairlines, require fewer transplants than those with extensive baldness. However, hair transplantation is generally not much more expensive in the long run than hairpieces that have to be replaced, or hair- weaving methods that constantly need adjusting.

And remember, the only maintenance required for your transplanted hair is your regular haircut.
